The Rich B. Hat – Vietnam LRPPs

Rich was a member of the 101st LRRPs in Vietnam from 69-70.

Rich reached out to us to donate an old uniform of his because , in his words, he just didn’t fit in them anymore. When an old timer from Vietnam reaches out, I’m always intrigued. I asked him to take a picture of the uniform to check the serviceability of it.

We didn’t talk much about his service as he’s getting up there in age and he doesn’t email much. The picture, from what he recalled, was when he went up to HQ with his team to take a small break from the bush.

I looked up to these men, still do. They carved a path for me to follow when I joined. I believe the LRRPs to be some of the toughest humans on the planet.

Profits (20%) from each hat sold will go to help support The Screaming Eagle Foundation. The Screaming Eagle Support Fund’s primary goal is to support the soldiers and their families of the 101st Airborne Division Air Assault and Fort Campbell by providing emergency funds to individuals, financial support to the Junior Enlisted Family Center and other support organizations.
